I didn't write a "book" for the purpose of the fame of being an author.  Honestly, I didn't even aspire to be a writer at all.  I wrote little blogs and funny story's as a way to cope with the struggles of being a young mother and military spouse during very difficult times.  Our family has been through trying times together, and I know that we are not alone.  We are far from being alone in these struggles and often times the military families in this same position continue to struggle alone.  Much the way I thought was necessary when my release through writing began.  When people began to read my stories and find a connection to what I had to say, I realized that there was something bigger there.  We can find humor in these times and we don't have to hide our struggles within the walls of the home we are trying so desperately to maintain.  I want to be able to bridge the gap between the families who have "been there, done that".  I want to be able to bring some awareness to the civilian world about the fact that serving in the "silent ranks" as a military family isn't the fantasy world that it is sometimes portrayed.  Most of all I want to be able to laugh and share my crazy life and hopefully through my experiences I can help others.
